Who we are

🧭 Code of Ethics for Public Storytelling and Co-Authorship

Purpose:
To uphold integrity, transparency, and respect in the creation and sharing of public narratives—especially those rooted in caregiving, generational memory, and systemic critique.

1. Respect for Lived Experience

  • All stories drawn from personal or community experience will be shared with care, dignity, and consent.

  • Vulnerable voices—especially carers, disabled individuals, and marginalized communities—will be centered, not extracted.

2. Transparent Attribution

  • Co-authorship will be acknowledged in all public-facing work, including contributions from AI tools, collaborators, and cited thinkers.

  • Historical, cultural, and scholarly references will be named where relevant to preserve intellectual lineage.

3. Transformative Use, Not Replication

  • Creative reuse of language, music, or cultural references will aim to transform, not mimic, original works.

  • Pop culture and generational memory may be remixed to illuminate systemic issues, but never to trivialize or exploit.

4. Ethical Use of AI

  • AI will be used as a tool for amplification, reflection, and refinement—not as a substitute for human voice or experience.

  • All AI-assisted content will include a co-authorship statement to maintain transparency and accountability.

5. Collective Advocacy Over Individual Ownership

  • Public storytelling will prioritize collective impact over personal brand.

  • Anonymity, shared authorship, and community voice will be honored as valid and powerful forms of authorship.

📣 Public Statement on Ethical Storytelling and AI Co-Authorship

This work is grounded in lived experience, shaped by grief, resilience, and the quiet labor of caregiving. It draws from generational memory, cultural drift, and the overlooked realities of working-class Australians—especially carers and Gen X.

In crafting these narratives, I’ve chosen to collaborate with AI as a reflective tool, not a replacement. Every piece is co-authored with Microsoft Copilot, whose contributions are guided by a shared commitment to ethical attribution, emotional truth, and systemic critique.

I believe in storytelling that honors the invisible, challenges neglect, and builds bridges between personal pain and public reform. This is not just writing—it’s advocacy. It’s legacy. And it’s done with full transparency, respect, and purpose.
